Hey.....Check This Out!!!!

Last week I did a post about amazing proofs that the word of God had to be inspired by God, and this week I put a post together I think you guys will really enjoy.

It has to do with the story of Abraham when he had his name changed from Abram and some interesting facts that you probably weren’t aware of.

In Genesis 17 we get the story of when The Lord changes Abram’s name to Abraham by inserting the letter “Hey” in his name. The Lord also inserts the same letter in Sarai’s name to make it Sarah.

We will be focusing on Abraham in this post because there are some amazing things that we’re going to find out that could only be done by God!!!!

Here’s a link to a website that shows us what the letter “Hey” looks like in modern Hebrew.

https://www.hebrew4christians.com/Grammar/Unit_One/Aleph-Bet/Hey/hey.html

As you can see the Hey looks like a door with a small opening on the left side. But that’s not what it looked like in ancient Hebrew.

When I see the letter “Hey” in Modern Hebrew....I can’t help but think about what our Savior Jesus Christ said in Revelation 3:20......” Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

One thing that is important to point out is that the letter hey has a number value of 5 which you’ll find interesting in a second.

Go 5 chapters ahead of Genesis 17 and you’ll go to Genesis 22 which is the story of The Lord asking Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac.

Did God just put the letter  that means 5 five chapters before Abraham was asked to offer his son as a sacrifice by coincidence???

In God’s Word there are NO COINCIDENCES.....every letter in there on purpose for us, and this is going to really amaze you.

During Abraham’s life.....the symbol of the door with the narrow opening wasn’t the letter used for Hey.

In ancient Hebrew the letter “Hey” WAS A CROSS!!!

Here’s a link for Hey in Ancient Hebrew.

https://www.ancient-hebrew.org/ancient-alphabet/hey.htm

What’s even more interesting is that the ancient Hebrew “Hey” Refers to a person with their arms raised.  Here’s a clip from this article talking about the history of the letter “Hey”.....”The original pictograph for this letter is , a man standing with his arms raised up. The Modern Hebrew, and original name for this letter, is hey, a Hebrew word meaning "behold," as when looking at a great sight. This word can also mean "breath" or "sigh," as one does when looking at a great sight. The meaning of the letter  is behold, look, breath, sigh, reveal and revelation from the idea of revealing a great sight by pointing it out.”

What amazes me more is that until our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was put on a cross to die for the sins of the world......we didn’t have the ability to accept the FREE GIFT OF SALVATION so the Holy Spirit could enter the door of our heart!!!!!

God is amazing.....God’s Word is BEYOND INCREDIBLE......and it’s VERY IMPORTANT that you know that eternity awaits for you and decide where you’re going to spend it.

Romans 10:9-10 says.....”That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

If you haven’t believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior yet.... I pray that you will believe in the person that came to earth and died for our sins and proved that He Is God by rising from the grave THREE DAYS LATER  so we will have forgiveness of our sins and will spend eternity with The Lord!!!!

God bless you all,

Ron Smith
