Day 6- Good News From God Bible Study Genesis to Revelation
Here’s the notes from Day 6 of creation week
Good News From God Ministries Bible Study Genesis to Revelation
Genesis- The Book of Beginnings
Day 6- Friday Genesis 1:24-31- “Land animals and Man”
24.”And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. 25.And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 26.And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27.So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28.And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 29.And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 30.And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. 31.And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day”
At this moment God has created everything and everything was Very Good. Sin had not entered Gods Creation and Man had a perfect relationship with the Lord.
One thing that is interesting in these verses is the first part of Genesis 1:26.....”And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:”.....here we get the second clue about the Trinity. We worship 1 God that exists with the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. We also see the Trinity in Genesis 1:2-4....”2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.3. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
Not only do we see the Spirit of God “The Holy Spirit”.....but we also see God commanding light, and we see God dividing the light from the darkness. 1 God...3 separate functions taking place.
Here’s some interesting Bible verses that show the plurality of the 1 God we believe in.
Genesis 19:24....”24 Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven;”
One Lord gives fire and brimstone to the Lord that rained it on Sodom and Gomorrah.
Psalms 110:1-5.....1. The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
2 The Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.
3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.
4 The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
5 The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.”
This is a verse that is prophesying about the tribulation that will take place when the church or the body of Christ is removed from earth.
Notice how in verse one David says: The Lord said unto my Lord sit down at my right hand until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
Here we see another example of the plurality of the one God we serve.
This is a topic that has confused Christians for decades if not longer, but this is the explanation that I believe is the easiest way to understand this.
The Father is a righteous judge that cannot be in the presence of sin and he will punish Sin. If you remember Jesus Christ when he was on the cross dying for sins of the world; he cried out “My God my God why has thou forsaken me”. God the Father did could not look at the sin that Jesus Christ was taking on Himself so that anyone who believes in Jesus Christ that he died for our sins was buried and rose again from the dead will be saved.
The Son is the redeemer of the world because he died for the sins of the world and He will also be the one who will rule during the 1000 year reign of Christ when we return with him from heaven.
The Holy Spirit is what convicts the world of sin and once a person believes in Jesus Christ as their Savior The Holy Spirit comforts us and seals us until our Lord Jesus Christ comes to take us to heaven!!!
*******IMPORTANT POINT******
The Hebrew word that is used in Genesis 1 for God is Elohim is a singular word that also shows plurality “more than 1 part”. When you hear God say “Let us create man in our image and after our likeness” that is very interesting. Most people know that we have a body, a soul, and a spirit. We are not 3 people though......we are 1 person that would not be in the image of God without a body, soul and spirit
**********************************
As we mentioned earlier Satan has always wanted to be “like” God even though Satan will never be God. Satan is the number one enemy of the plan of God, and throughout history we have seen Satan’s multiple attacks on the plan of God along with Satan’s attacks on the people of God as he tries to be “like” God.
We see another example of this in Revelation.
1....The Dragon “Part 1 of 3”
Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
2.....The Antichrist
Revelation 13:1-2.....”1. And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.”
3....the False Prophet
Revelation 13:11....”And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.”
The Dragon “Satan”, The Antichrist, and the false prophet are the 3 parts in Satan’s Trinity.
Keep in mind that they will be defeated by God, and the biggest defeat Satan has experienced so far was when Jesus Christ “God in human form” died for our sins, was buried for our sins, and rose from the dead conquering death ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!
******INTERESTING POINT*****
God made man in the image of God on Day 6, and the number of the beast is 666.
Revelation 13:18.....”Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”
**********************************
Another interesting point is at the end of Genesis 1:26....”male and female created he them”
A man can only reproduce with a woman.....as we see the rise in homosexuality in the world we see Satan attacking God’s order.
**********************************
In Genesis 1:29-30 we see that after God created everything that He gave Adam the “Title Deed” of the Earth and power over all the animals that were created. Once Adam disobeyed the Lord by eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, Satan took ownership of what was entrusted to Adam. We see proof of this when Satan tempts Jesus Christ and offers Jesus all the kingdoms of the world if Jesus would worship Satan.
Luke 4:6-8.....”6. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. 7. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. 8. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve.”
Satan knows that God will defeat him so he tries anything he can to overcome God, but he will always fail and Revelation shows how Satan will be cast in the lake of fire and there will be no more curse....EVER!!!
Revelation 20:10...”And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”
