WHO ARE THE CALLED??? May 19, 2020 Updated May 24th, 2020 By Ron Smith Jr. If you ask believers the question “Who Are The Called” referred to in God’s Word you will get many different answers. I’m writing this so we all can gain a deeper understanding by using the Greek words that are used for “Called” and showing other examples of how the word is used and shed light on this subject. I’m referencing Romans 8:28-30 where a lot of Bible teachers and students frequently reference with this topic. ENJOY 👍 There are two predominant views of foreknowledge or foreknew in western theological circles today. One view is the Calvinist view which teaches that God preselected people “Before the foundation of the world” who would be saved by God’s divine council. The other view is that God looked through the corridors of time and saw the people who would believe in Jesus Christ and predestined those people for salvation.  The second view is the classical Armenian view and I think it’s important to point out that before this doctrine of Salvation or Soteriology was developed, he was a Calvinist and disagreed with Calvin that God preordained some people to be saved and others to be lost with no regard to what the person did or did not do.
